The moment we've all been waiting for has finally arrived!

Federal legislation has just been introduced in the House of

Representatives to establish mandatory labels on all food

products containing genetically engineered (GE) ingredients.

 

There are currently thousands of foods on our supermarket

shelves with ingredients from soy, corn, and canola and

other engineered crops, without labeling or notice. There

is no evidence that these foods are safe for the

environment or public health because the Food and Drug

Administration does not currently require safety testing or

labeling.
