Cloves Tincture

Does this sound right. I took cloves and crammed them and tightly packed them

into a small glass jar. I then poured 80 proof vodka over this and then send a

wooden thin stick into this to get any air bubbles out. I then topped off the

jar with the vodka and tightly capped. I plan on leaving this on a dark shelf

for about 4-6 weeks and shake daily and top off if needed.

 

That's my understanding of how to make a tincture. . .does that agree with your

all's experience?

Hey Joseph! I do it a little different; let's compare and see which is

better. First, I read that you have to use at least 100-proof alcohol, so

that's what I use--rotgut. *lol* I use 1 oz. herb (powdered; 4 fresh) to

10 oz. alcohol, store for 2 weeks and shake once a day. What does

everybody else think? --Sara
