Guest guest
Could you recommend a formula for clearing the throat of phlegm, on an acute basis. My doctor is currently working with me a yeast and de- tox cleansing, which should be the real solution. Need something as I work on the phone quite a bit, in the mean time. Guest guest
Hope that what you're doing on the phone is honest, ethical, and in full alignment with your own goals and purposes. If not, your body can easily find ways to sabotage the work. I've done a lot of phone work, including professional surveying, and have seen this happen many times. But assuming everything on that end is ok, then the one-shot cure-all that all professional speakers and singers should carry around is licorice root. It works wonders. There will often be an initial discharge of phlegm, and then everything's much better for several hours afterward. There are 2 cautions about licorice root. In large quantities it is also a laxative. And if used too often, it will rot out your gums. So be careful with the stuff. You also may want to consider some of the anticatarrhals (mucus eliminators)such as cayenne, garlic, ginger and some of the alteratives (blood purifiers)such as red clover, dandelion, burdock, or yellow dock (available comercially in combinations). To address the yeast directly, diet is important(particularly limiting sugar and fermented items) and our family also uses pro- biotics, pau d'arco, and grapefruit seed extract. Hope this provides some useful info. Richard
