Guest guest
I'm new here and have been lurking for a while. Tonight, I thought I'd jump in with a problem I've been trying to solve for a while now. My 18 yr. old daughter has been having a terrible time during her periods for many months now. She cramps terribly, so badly that it causes her to vomit for the first three days. I've decided to do a trial run of Motherwort. Does anyone have any experience with this? My thoughts were that her and her great-gram both have heart problems and Gram told me that she also vomited during her period for several years after beginning her menses. Motherwort (from what I've read) has a tonic affect on the heart and helps with painful menses. Any thoughts or advice on the subject would be greatly appreciated. Over all she is in good health, other than pulmonary stenosis; which hasn't given her any problems for several years now. TIA, Sherry -- The problem that infuriates you the most is the problem God has assigned you to solve.
Guest guest
Sherry Perhaps Valerian also? While it is a relaxant for the mind it also works on muscles, which may help with cramping - and it is safe for the heart. I was one of the rare people who has an allergic reaction to it with mild heart palpitations for 5 min, but for the majority valerian is included in heart med mixtures Erin
Guest guest
Thanks Erin! I'll look into that. I'm always ultra careful when it comes to Sarah. This is a young woman who was only given a 30% chance of survival the first year of her life. She had many battles with illness when she was small, but when I removed her from the public school system when she was 11 her health improved greatly. She did return to private school for her senior year (this year) and did fine. I think her being older, her immune system is stronger now. Having only 15 people in the whole school helped too I'm sure! lol I know that her circulation is a bit impaired. I wonder if this has something to do with the cramping also? Would seem logical. Lower oxygen levels and all. She's quite distressed by the whole thing; she's worried about being able to keep a job. There are two and sometimes three days during her cycle that she literally cannot stand up. (She'll vomit and has even fainted several times) I took her to a couple of different M.D.s and they acted like it was no big deal. Yeah well, maybe not to them! They got our money anyway huh? grrrrrr Ahhh I'm rambling. Sorry ; ) thanks again for the tip Sherry ErinGJ80 wrote: Sherry Perhaps Valerian also?
