Michael, I'm glad you gave the advice you did below to Sorcha. There was a red mold in the house we used to live in. I called the county health people, and others, and not a soul could tell me anything. It was worrying me, because I was always wheezing, and clorox simply didn't kill it. We moved. I'm now free of it and feeling great.

You sound like a very interesting person, and I don't know why you are hesitant to post what you've been through with the cancer suppression and other things, but curious me would definitely like to know more.

You could not have made a truer statement when you said that the health professionals(LOL) do not seem to care....no, hardly any of them care at all whether people live or die. I have not found any doctors who know anything about herbs or alternative medicine and one doctor had a fit when my friend told him she is taking herbs. He told her to get off them asap!!! ROTFL, like she was going to listen to him. I can't believe doctors are allowed to practice and be so uninformed that they are afraid to integrate herbs into their prescriptions.

By the way I live in the country, and many times I wonder about the "fresh air" thing. We live on a dairy farm where there are 7,000 cows and we live in the middle of it. We live with the smell of manure 24/7 with our windows up (no air conditioning). I read an old book long ago that said foul smells could actually give you worms......have you ever heard of such a thing..........? The book was thrown out in one of my many moves, but I remember it was really big into high enemas and grossed me out at the time. I was young and didn't know what I know now, or I'd still have that book. I gather wild herbs and drink the teas-we don't have a lot of herbs down here in Florida that other states have, but we have plenty to choose from, because I've done my homework in this area. Wild herbs in my area of Florida is my favorite subject and I never shut up about it--might as well get on with my book about it, just in the note writing stage now.

Re: [herbal remedies] Health: ingrown toenails, colds/bronchials, swollen glands

First, read Leviticus Chapter 14. They knew more about molds in houses inancient times than they do now, it seems. Sure, we can classify the stuff, and we have incredible chemicals that can wipe this stuff out (and make itcome back sooner) -- but we still know very little about why it hits onelocation and not another.People who let a workplace get that unhealthy and won't do anything abou itshould be reagarded the same as common criminals. In fact, in many casespeople like that have committed other crimes, and those who find and exposethose crimes are doing a service to society. Keep that in mind.I could write a book about these environmental problems. In fact, i have. But that's a long story for another time (privately).Protecting yourself against molds is generally a matter of making sure yourimmune system is strong. There are many ways to do that, and specifictechniques will in some cases depend on your body type. Nutrition, exercise, and herbs all play a part. Getting lots of fresh air into thearea helps a lot. You also need to do everything you can to reduce otherenvironmental stress factors, such as avoiding wearing new clothes withformaldehyde in them, using only certain nontoxic cleaners at home, andstaying away from heavy electromagnetic fields. Some people have reported success using an oil of Meleleuca (also known asTea Tree Oil) on ingrown toenails. The location of the swelling on your daughter's neck is possibly associatedwith the thyroid gland. Giving her a bit of seaweed mixed in a regulardish, or having her take a kelp tablet occasionally, would be a good idea.If this does not directly affect the problem immediately (within 12 hours)then it's something else. It could also be tonsils, but that seems a bitodd that the swelling is where you described if that's the case. But thesore throat is another indicator, so Golden Seal might help as well. Buttry the thyroid thing first, in case that's what is going on. Keep in mindthat many cases of autoimmune disease are connected with environmentalproblems such as molds.Be really careful. It would appear that your doctor doesn't really caremuch -- and would not be a trustworthy source of information if that's thecase. And you're getting some bad information somewhere along the line. Itmight be a good idea to write down stuff when people who know what they'retalking about tell you something. Then, you can compare the notes with agood doctor.

Thanks for the compliments. Actually it was very late at night and i

haven't been online much lately so i said a few sort of wild things yesterday.

High enemas and obsessions with fresh air & parasites are characteristic of

German culture. I can knock them because i'm approximately half German

myself. Actually the fresh air thing is important. When somebody says

rancid air can give you worms, the way that could happen is that it can

compromise the immune system enough for a worm attack to succeed. A lot of

other things could do that too.

Having no air circulation in a house is a serious problem. Are those 7000

cows all yours?

Your book sounds like a worthwhile project. I'd love to get a copy when

it's out.
