Greetings, all!

Been crazy last few days...trying to catch up on my correspondence now. I wanted to ask a question though, since I noticed that the subject of warts came up. I have gotten a few small wart-type skin "irritations" myself...in fact, I have one right where my bra used to hit and rub between my breasts. But, I'm getting off-track. I have developed a nerve ending on my eyelid. It is the only thing I can think of to call it. It is on the outside lower part of one of my eyelids and it is sooo extremely sensitive that it is giving me pain every day. (why I call it a nerve ending) I am not sure how or why it developed but nothing seems to get rid of it and I really don't want to get it "burned" off at the doctor's office. I also don't want to attempt using any of those salycilic (spelling's wrong, sorry) acid patches or anything of the like, specifically BECAUSE it is in a sensitive spot like my eyelid! I have even tried to pinch it off or tie a string around it...nothing works. When I tried those two things, the pain was so horrible, I thought I wouldn't get over it. When I cook, any steam or heat from the oven feels like I'm being burned on the eyelid by a direct flame.

I would have probably tried the garlic treatment listed for warts, but I'm afraid that would be a bad idea for a place so close to my eye.

I'm really getting desparate at this point. I've had this thing for weeks now and it hurts more every day.

I appreciate any help.

Thanks. Have a good evening.

Federal Law requires that we warn you of the following: 1. Natural methods can sometimes backfire. 2. If you are pregnant, consult your physician before using any natural remedy. 3. The Constitution guarantees you the right to be your own physician and toprescribe for your own health. We are not medical doctors although MDs are welcome to post here as long as they behave themselves. Really, there's nothing wrong with getting something like this burned off.

There are some things that doctors can do very well, and this is one of

them. We shouldn't let the mistakes, arrogance, and even criminal acts of

many doctors blind us to the good they can do in some situations.

Hi Sorcha,

I second Micheal, When my mother was alive back in 1980's she developed

infections in her inner lid of the eye -forget which one? but she was

miserable and couldn,t see with the cloudyness associated with what her

doctor determined to be 'ingrown hairs just inside her underlid - he removed

the offending hair follicle with electro surgery right in his office or

might of burned it out as he inverted the lid. She never had a problem after

that- so sometimes a trusted MD is in order'
