Guest guest
Hi--- I'm New to this group -I've been looking for information specifically for the stimulation of the lymphatic system-I have a 16 year old son who has a condition called lymphedemia of the right leg- Doctors have told me that this is a uncurable but treatable condition but to date I have found that they really know very little of the subject-in the last six months I have visited searched and corresponded with most of the " experts " and found that there is not even a common pool of knowledge or treatment-One of the lymph nodes in the right knee is blocked -causing high protien fluids to build in the leg -this condition means that a scratch or insect bite will cause fantastic growth of the infection and often leads to amputation.Maybe I'm unrealistic but I intend to find a cure for him. I need a way to flush the toxins specifically the fats that block the node or find a way to stimulate the lymphatic system-Please dont contact me with sophmoric ideas-religious prayers or other foolishness-I'm looking for real knowledge or expertise - Any help or direction would be appreciated

Guest guest
Get yourself a simple book on accupuncture or accupressure (likely you local library will have one good enough or can order one from you state system. ) If you order make sure to find one which says it is illustrated. The lymph system is run by the spleen. The job is to move debris like dead cells decaying cell wall material dead blod cells and things like this out of the body. Basically the first line of your immune system. You will find the spleen meridian this should be stimulated in a manner consistant with the patter of the illness. It is too complex to write it all here, but there will be information in any book. Also have your sone pay attention to which points feel need more pressure or attention. Clockwise motions stimulate and are yand or masculine in nature. Counterclockwise motions relax and soothe and are yin or feminine in nature. Different points along the meridians with either need to be stimulted or soothed. Additionally, the lymph system uses a combination of breathing and a pulsing of the skull (which also circulates the fluid surrounding the brain adn spinal cord.) For a movement have him lie on the floor and raise his legs up over his head. Reach between the legs and wrap the arms around and grab the bottom of the feet from the outside of the foot. From this position he can roll in circles on the floor. Form the back he lowers his left knee and brings his chin to his knee. As he rolls on this side he brings his chin along his shin towards his ankle (he may not be able to get his chin all the way down, but should keep it as low as possible without straining.) Keep the chin moving along the right leg from ankle to knee and lie down on his side and roll across his back. Do that movement 4 to 10 times in one direction. The stop and reverse directions. These movements will help to coordinate the legs, hips and spine to make a fluid side to side motion. There are teas which stimulate the spleen and make the lymph system more energetic and will help to clear out the debris which can build up in places. If this is the right leg, you need to also work on having him move his left arm and elbow. Since the other part of the lymph sytem uses for pumping is muscular contractions. Bodies work on the activation of Opposites which assist and compliment each other. This is why in proper walking we swing our left arm forward when we step with our right foot. Hope this helps. Guest guest
Hey Junction: My knowledge of the lymphatic system would fit in the gap in my spark-plugs. However--and I hope you don't find this sophomoric--I really wanted to write and tell you that I think you're doing the right thing, and that you're not being unrealistic at all. All the worthwhile medical knowledge the human race has, it got from people like you, not from some Harvard 'scientist' whose only stake in the information was another dollar and his name on another publication. Trust yourself and the love you share with your son to lead you to an answer. There was a time--many weeks ago--when I would have viewed any post like this as quite sophomoric, and horrendously useless besides. But that was before I emailed the list about my brother, and got all sorts of supportiveness back for myself, and realized in hindsight that I'd really needed it. But I'll send all my freakiest religious best-wishes your way, too, just to complete the picture. *g* Hope you get lots of useful info from those in the know!
