Guest guest
Looks like nobody else handled this one, so i will take a shot for you. Iron is a big factor in spinach, broccoli, kale, and several other leafy green vegetables. Zinc is most prominent in sunflower seeds, which unfortunately may not be available in Asia. It is also in some Asian fruits, but i'm not sure which ones. Perhaps Lychee nuts. Many nuts have some zinc. B-12 is almost entirely obtained from meat and poultry. This is the one that some vegetarians have trouble with. Although i have met many healthy vegetarians, i have also met some who weren't. The difference appears to be B-12 supplementation. I remember seeing a vegetable source for it somewhere a long time ago, but can't remember right now. I suspect the original design of the human body was that we were intended to have meat occasionally, perhaps once or twice a week. And the meat we consume, should be according to the laws laid out in Leviticus for optimum health. I understand there are significant differences between Kosher and Halal requirements. Since i have little contact with Muslims here in Cheyenne, do you or anyone else on the list know much about this?
