Guest guest
Hi All Does anybody have any idea what is good for reducing swollen ankles. Mine have been swollen for before and after the actual joint for quite some time now (like 3 years). I believe that they are connected to the ovaries... and my reflexogolist suggested taking magnesium every day, which I am doing (400mg). However, I have yet to notice a difference. OK - 2 questions then: 1. what does magnesium do? 2. if magnesium isn't the thing that I should be using, have you any suggestions? Best wishes to all Yvonne _______ Get your free @ address at
Guest guest
Magnesium is essential to the balance between various minerals in the body, particularly in the bones and tendons. It should not be taken alone. Generally, the best ratio is (hope i'm right on this -- the reference is 25 miles away) 3 parts calcium to 2 parts magnesium. You also need several other minerals, mostly in extremely small amounts. The ideal configuration of mineral intake will vary widely with each individual, so some experimentation with various brands is necessary. I have found some good brands of mineral supplement to be KAL, Solgar, and Nutrition for Life, but there are many other possibilities.
