Guest guest
Hi. I'm Lil and happy to meet you all. I'm have a feeling that I have found the place to get answers to my questions. My Health Care Provider has suggested to me that I use Flax Seeds to help lower my bad cholesterol. Its 211 and while that isn't all that high she would like me to lower it because I'm also fighting obesity, hypertension and blood sugar levels that bouce up off and on. Not high, the highest ever being 156 but she has me on glucophage as a precaution. My big question is what is the recommended amount of flax seed to use. My HCP has suggested 2 Tablespoons at each meal sprinkled on my food. While flax seed certainly doesn't have an objectionable taste or texture it still seems to be quite a bit of seed. Is this the proper dosage and can you get too much of it. I also read that flax seed is also good to aid in helping Hypertension. Is this true? Thanks in advance for your help.
