Guest guest
Some women have had great success with very weak yarrow tea for this. The other thing to try would be wild yam, which gets recommended here a lot. These cramps can be difficult. In my travels among Native Americans, i was often told that a woman's period should ideally be relatively uneventful, with little bleeding and a mostly clear discharge. Several different respected elders told me that heavy bleeding is a sign of poor nutrition. Of course the ideal nutrition for each person is an individual thing. For a Great Plains Native American, it would be a diet consisting of about 50% cooked or preserved meat, 25% exotic vegetables, and 25% corn and beans. That would be disastrous for many Europeans and Asians. So it does take a tremendous amount of research these days, including knowing your ancestry and family medical history. One of the worst things any of us can do is to follow somebody's " one size fits all " diet out of a book. The only diet book i've reviewed that makes sense is " The Zone " by Sears. Also that " Eat Right 4 Your Blood Type " has generated a lot of good reports, but i haven't been able to get a copy yet. Occasionally severe cramps are a sign of a deeper medical problem, such as cysts or endometriosis. Those need to be checked for. Guest guest
Many thanks for this detailed response! Its much appreciated. I have explored my diet considerably over the last year whilst fighting depression. I can see that I have a lot more work to do with respect to this . I am awaiting an exploratory operation which may well provide some answers... Best wishes to all Yvonne Get personalised at My .
