If you would use some gauze, or even cotton material, make it big enough to go around the area, tear the two opposite ends and tie it on. No tape needed. Hope you get some relief. Guest guest
Michael, it is interesting that you mentioned the native healing arts using mullin leaves. I have been trying to learn how to use herbs the way the indians did, but have not actually started using many of them yet. I have purple cone flower and yarrow but have not learned how to use them. I also have catnip, mint, parsley, beebalm, and lemon balm. I grow horseradish, but use very little of it. I use the hot peppers the most. I have comfrey but have never used it either, I have read that the leaves can be used the same as mullin leaves on wounds. I belong to the growing herbs list, I don't contribute much to it, I am just there to learn. Thanks for your reply back to my e-mail about spiritual things. I guess you could say I believe in Christianity, just not organized religion. When the churches get big and into the big bucks they get corrupt just like the government. When I was a kid we went to a little baptist church and I loved it. Later the church got more people and more money, built a bigger church and tore down the little brown church. After that all it was about was the money. It was so sad to see the church go that way and I haven't been happy with religion since. It is like I lost something I really cherished and can never get it back. Remember the indian (Chef Iron Horse I think his name was) that did the commercial about pollution where the tear ran down his face. I think that is how Christ would react if he were here to see what has happened to religion. Bye for now, have a nice day. Worked very well. Of course you first have to shoot the rabbit & the buffalo. If rabbit fur was going to be overkill, mullein leaves would work well. --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Guest guest
Purple cone flower is, as i understand, the common name for Echinacea. So you dry the root and use it. I don't know about using it fresh -- that's fairly rare. Lemon balm is supposed to relieve symptoms of Herpes. Worked well for me. Comfrey does work well on wounds. It's a nice alternative if others aren't available. Mostly i've used it for internal bacterial infections, which hardly ever happen any more. Parsley & horseradish are Old World herbs. I just learned last night that horseradish & parsley have a very important place in a traditional Jewish Passover ritual. It does seem like too many churches have gone down the money tubes. In Denver in the 1980's it got so bad, and i got so discouraged about the situation, that i hung out with Pagans for a few years. They were sincere people, and they accepted my music when nobody else did. At least here in Cheyenne almost nobody has any money, so there's little danger of a church getting too big. I actually work with several churches now. The one i have the closest ties with, is a genuine country church. Being that far out in the boonies, we have learned to be very tolerant. We serve a huge area with a small population. Imagine if the entire road from Tampa to Orlando had maybe 50 houses on it, and then just a few more houses were tucked away a mile from the road. There's no church bulletin -- our music department is whoever shows up with an instrument that day. Yesterday, Easter Sunday, there were a few more people than usual, and more of us were wearing cowboy hats. But only the preacher and one other guy were wearing ties. That's the first time i've seen our preacher in a tie in a while. Part of what works for us is that our preacher grew up through the church -- we had some outside professionals a few years ago, but none of them worked out. Guy comes from a ranching family that's been part of the area since the beginning, so his sermons are always things we can relate to.
