Guest guest
I have had some interesting experiences in using Niacin. One time my husband was suffering from Herpes Stomatitis. He had sores in his mouth, could not eat, had lost 20 lbs, was continually feverish, nothing that we were doing was working and we'd been to the doctor and no go there and various herbal remedies were also causing no change. The room he was in smelled like the day after a battle. Bad!! I had the idea that the body was stuck as he had been in this condition for 3 weeks and had not gotten better. I had just finished reading a book about radiation and how it would cause the body to sort of stick instead of going through the normal cycle of a disease. I suggested he take niacin. He did and within hours was better and within 2 days was back to being a human being as opposed to a living corpse. Another time, my daughter had a sore on her foot. It was not healing even after we took her to the doctor and did the standard remedies. I gave her Niacin and the sore healed right up. My husband had precancerous lips and would get sores on his lips that would not go away for weeks. He would take vites, put salves on his lips etc. No go. Taking Niacin would make the sores go away. I have also used Niacin when I have felt stuck mentally or spiritually. I would always feel better after I finished the Niacin reaction. Guest guest
I have a girlfriend that has brain cancer. She has had surgery to remove the tumour, and has just finished radiation therapy. The is also taking a chemo therapy drug (don't know which one) but it is an oral drug. She has also had to take medications (Dexamethazone - I think - Decadron trade name?) to reduce the swelling in her brain (re the radiation/surgery). The side effects of that drug are nasty, beside making her face swell to around twice its normal size, it affects lower body strength and other more long term effects. Her eye sight has also been affected by the tumour and subsequent brain swelling. She has lost peripheral vision and her eyes do not track the same. The doctors say that they type of cancer she has is most prevalent in elderly patients. And it is terminal. They say if she makes it through the first year without the cancer re-appearing, she has statistically 5 to 10 years to live. She is 38 years old with two young children. My question is to you all, what can I suggest to someone whom I know will not go off mainstream medial treatments (and I can't say that I could even suggest that she did - that is a personal decision that she has to make) to take to help support herself during this trying time in her life. She has altered her diet to a more healthy "cancer combating" diet and is taking more supplements, but I know all of the information she is getting is from the mainstream medical society. What are a few good things that she could add to her diet/supplements that may help her out and not interact or counteract the medications she is taking? Currently she is only taking the chemo (I say only lightly!) and the decadron and codeine for the headaches. She is going to be weaned off the decadron once the swelling from the radiation abates, but will be on the chemo drugs for the next 4 months - or even indefinitely as a precautionary measure - I cannot image what that will do to her body long term. She is a woman with a will to live - very strong and beautiful person (inside) so any help would be much appreciated. Janene
Guest guest
Well I can say you can't change their minds...but you can present things to them....and let them figure it out....also you can tell your all drugs started out as herbs and natural things of the earth....My sister in law who is a pharmacist...can not even think past taking prescriptions and she had breast cancer...now she had at 33 bi-lateral mast. and 4 nodes removed...and she still will not listen. Guest guest
Tell your friend that a respected study a few years ago showed that people who always argue with their doctors and don't always do what they're told, have a strong tendency to live longer than those who do everything they're supposed to do. Also get her dancing to some really great world-beat or Celtic music. Maybe it won't cure the cancer but at least she will have more fun in the coming years. One of my favorites is Outback. Tannehill Weavers is good too. I'm working on an Afro-Celtic dance album for this purpose too, but currently have to wait for funding. So we don't know when that's coming out. Hopefully while your friend is still alive. At 11:34 AM 3/29/02 -0800, you wrote: >I have a girlfriend that has brain cancer. Guest guest
Dear Janice, Small question but big answer ;o) In a nut shell, Niacin does these things (actually a lot more, but these are the main ones): 1. Runs radiation out of the body. 2. Detoxifies all organs. 3. Is the long term handling for mood swings. 4. Helps all the other B Vitamins to assimilate and work better. 5. Is the best of the purifying vitamins. (Even better than Vit C) Hope this helps. Guest guest
Dear Janene, If you could talk her into only the Total Nutrition Formula and the Niacin, you would be doing her a big favor. Since she refuses to listen to anyone but the main stream boys, the only other suggestion I have for you is to just continue LOVING her a great deal. If you could convince her to call me, I might be able to give her a bit of a reality adjustment. I can be somewhat persuasive in this area ;o) Love, Doc Ian "Doc" Shillington N.D.505-772-5889Dr.IanShillington - Janene Brierley-Green herbal remedies Friday, March 29, 2002 12:34 PM RE: [herbal remedies] Interesting experiences with Niacin I have a girlfriend that has brain cancer.
