Guest guest
Ok, here's one for ya'll-- I have migraines and have for almost 20 years. Textbook case. Was taking all the meds morning, noon, night, onset, etc before I just stopped. That was 12 years ago. Tried the feverfew and with more research, discovered two 'types' of migraines--cold and hot. The feverfew works on the 'cold' variety, while I have the 'hot' kind. Mostly I wake up with them and they'll last either for hours or days. RIght side of the head; sensitivity to smells, light, and sound; sometimes nausea & excess salivation alernating with dry mouth--like I said, textbook. These are the times I get them--huge low pressure fronts that move slowly through, and right before my monthly cycle. I do not have migraines when I'm pregnant past the 1st trimester. Ok, so, what now? Other than Imitrex that works a lot of the time, and now that I'm out of that, I'm taking 1/2 doses of hydrocodone. I've tried many alternative things, but with the wealth of knowledge here, thought I'd pick ya'll brains. Thanks- Robin
