Guest guest
My husband came home today with the announcement that he is no longer going to take his multi vitamin as it has 18mg. of Iron in it and he was told that Iron is bad for men and causes heart attacks. Can someone tell me about this? Thanks, Katrina
Guest guest
Multivitamins are not necessarily such a hot idea anyway. They can too easily end up being the wrong formula for someone. Taking several vitamins in a rotation as needed is better. In general, minerals seem to be better absorbed if taken in the evenings. B vitamins are usually better absorbed in the mornings. A doesn't need to be taken all that much by most people -- it is only necessary if there is some stress on the liver. As for iron, i have heard of it causing constipation if taken alone or without other minerals in a balance. This thing about it causing heart attacks is new. I want to see the raw studies.
