Not particularly. Babies could choke on the chunks, for one thing. I have

also noticed that it tends to deteriorate the gums if used too long. And,

of course, there is the laxative effect if too much is used, which could

result in dehydration in babies.

 

Licorice root for babies should be used only sparingly as a tincture,

generally either for constipation or for serious particulate-induced lung

problems. And then, move away from the source of pollution!
