Kayte _______________ Kayte, It depends on how much money you can afford and whether or not you can afford to spend a summer at the institute or not. Some programs require a " lab " which is completed on site (usually during the summer). I investigated most of the herbal programs and many are very good, but I could not do a lab on site. The one I finally picked and began a few days ago was through " Australasian Herbal College. " (http://herbed.com/) Since I paid for the entire 2 year course upfront ($2,000), I received all my materials at one time. You can work at your own pace and email your lessons to them. To receive your diploma at the end, there is a 3 hour test a " proctor " oversees. If you do not choose this method, the other method is to write a thesis. These people are very supportive and the program is quite professional, I feel. Yes, it might have been great to take one of these other programs, but I couldn't do the summer lab on site. Of the ones available, the one I picked most suited my needs and limitations. Hope this helps. Gogi
Guest guest
I have a newborn and toddler so I'm not free to run off for a summer. I'll look at the one you suggested. I want something that is serious that I can use to treat my family and others. I was looking at the school of natural healing. I've really gotten great results with Dr Christopher's formulas. It costs over 3K and takes 3 years to finish. Plus I need to satisfy the state requirements to be a stat certified Herbalist so I can legaly do buisiness.
