I am looking for a non-coffee drink but tastes similar to it that you can brew in your coffee maker. We have this really nice coffee maker and I quit drinking the stuff and miss the taste of it. Guest guest Posted January 20, 2002 Report Share Posted January 20, 2002 Dandy Blend is an instant beverage from roasted dandelion roots, etc. I have tried many coffee substitutes and this is the only one I have ever found that actually tastes like coffee. It is really good. You can probably find it in your local health food store if not the company name is Goosefoot Acres, Inc, out of Ohio, 800-697-4858. The ingredients included chicory, dandelion root, and burdock root, among other things. I think they also used roasted barley. It tasted great! Medicinally, it has a good effect on the bladder and kidneys.
