I never taste the stuff. The reason I keep it in the fridge is that the aloe vera gel comes from the fridge in the HFS. I tried some that is just on the shelves, presumably with some preservatives in it and all processed... and the results in healing were not as good. Maybe someone else can shed more light on the shelf life question? Melinda
Guest guest
Hmmm, I've done both (in the fridge and out), and have used it all up over a month's time without it going bad, and the Aloe Vera was certified Organic. As far as tinctures are concerned, since most of them are based in either alcohol or apple cider vinegar, their shelf life should be close to a 100 years since both alcohol and vinegar act as natural preservatives ;o) Love, Doc Ian "Doc" Shillington N.D.505-772-5889Dr.IanShillington - iris054 herbal remedies Friday, January 18, 2002 1:03 PM [herbal remedies] Aloe/E/Goldenseal mix--Lori > Do you think this stuff "expires" after a time?
