Also, what about cancer cells? Don't they feed on sugar, too, Doc? Thanks, Kathy
Guest guest
Hi Doc, Do you think we have any worry about the sugar in the molasses causing dental or supporting possible candida problems in our dogs? I usually don't give the critters anything sweet for those reasons, but if you think it's okay, I've definitely got one older dog I'd like to try this out on. Guest guest
Hey Melinda, Absolutely not. Most of the "white" sugar has been removed from the molassus, and what's left over is all the good stuff (minerals, etc.) Ohhhhhhh, if you took too much of it (a cup or more), it'd mess with your glucose level something fierce, but then so would honey, maple syrup or even date sugar if you took that kind of quantity. As with anything sweet with 'natural' sugars in it, you'd want to brush your teeth afterwards or in your case, give your dog a bone ;o) I've given it to my goats without any problems and I'm convinced that you'd have absolutely no problems with your dog.
