Dear All,

Several of my patients have been bugging me for a source of organic meats, and so I did a bit of research to find a really good source. OK, OK, I'm bitching cause I had to do the foot work here :o). Buuuuuuuut, it was worth it, cause I came up with an excellent source that when I tried their beef (I'd already stopped buying commercial and am raising my own), I was absolutely delighted. The beef was undeniably the best, I've tasted in years. Check it out amigos, you'll love it.

Much love,

Doc

Dear Phyllis,

The best place to get organic meats that I know of at this time is:

http://www.homesteadhealthyfoods.com/

They send it to you frozen, packed in "dry ice". Their prices are not toooooo bad, but the little extra you pay is well worth it.

This is where Valorie and I get ours when we don't raise it ourselves.

Love,

Doc

Organic meats

Dear Doctor Ian, I would like your help and advice on organic meats. Pat and I have cut back on the amount of meats we are eating, have increased our fruit and vegetable consumption, some are organic, some are not as the health food stores here in Colorado Springs have some organic produce that is really breaking down. Their organic meats look terrible, one of the suppliers is Wild Oats and of course, the prices are higher than the regular stores charge for inorganic meats. Now, I have seen on the web, several certified organic meat growers and packers in Colorado and I would like to know if it would be healthful and wise to purchase meats from them in bulk, pay them to ship it to my home and then freeze the meats? Also, would you know some good prices, ball park figures? Any info you can supply us is greatly appreciated. Phyllis Moore ChinLdy
