Guest guest
Dear Michael, A great concept, and believe me I've tried. I have patients in Germany, England, France, South Africa, and Australia, and many times the herbs go through without a problem, but then once in a while there's a glitch and then pandemonium reigns. When shipping to England, I have to put "Enzymes" on the package or they never get through. In Germany, you need to list it as "Warensendung" or it'll take forever to get there and the duty becomes outrageous. I once made the mistake of sending herbs via US Postal "Surface" (didn't I Jocelyn ;o), and it took 2 months for the parcel to arrive. When trying to track the parcel, I was informed that "Surface" could take up to 6 months. Never ship "Surface". Nowadays the US Postal service is irradiating many parcels (at random) due to the anthrax scare, which of course would alter and destroy the biochemical properties of the herbal preparations, which means, to be 100% safe you'd have to send it via UPS which is at least twice as expensive to ship as the Post Office "Air Mail". The nice thing about UPS is that it is fast. I recently shipped a parcel to Australia and it arrived in 3 days. Of course it cost $72 to get it there. But, in talking to my UPS agent, they so far refuse to do any irradiating and do not see doing so anytime in the future. I don't even send local US orders via the post office anymore. Just too risky. I wish I did know of an underground railroad system even if it was to only ship "Seeds" so that others could grow their own in hot houses (green houses). Hmmmmmmmmm,. I bet this is how smuggling originally began ;o) Love, Doc Ian "Doc" Shillington N.D.505-772-5889Dr.IanShillington - Michael Riversong herbal remedies Thursday, January 17, 2002 8:15 AM Re: [herbal remedies] Re: food and strenght Do you have a good hothouse? Papaya is a tropical fruit, and needs atemperature constantly above 25 degrees C. in order to survive. If you domanage to grow it there, i definitely would like to know about it.The fact that so many things are unavailable in Norway is sad. I thought itwas a rather enlightened country in so many ways, and to find that theyhighly regulate available foods is a disappointment.Maybe some of us on this list need to develop a sort of "undergroundrailroad" to get foods and medicines into Norway. At 12:47 PM 1/15/02 -0000, you wrote:>No healthfood store in norway do have it..sorry....>>Its alot of things we cant get here in norway...organic >papaya...impossible to get here...I will try to grow myself and see >if that goes well....perhaps I dont need to buy ordinary papaya to >get the seeds, some day >>Have a nice day>>Mar>Federal Law requires that we warn you of the following: 1.
