Calcium Rich Herb Infusions

(1 Tbsp. supplies 150-200 mg calcium)

Choose one or more of the following herbs

Yellow Dock leaves/roots

Dandelion leaves/roots

Plantain leaves

Nettle leaves

Raspberry leaves/canes/berries

Mugwort leaves

Comfrey leaves/flower stalks

Red Clover blossoms

Clean eggshells/bones

" Fill a liter jar with fresh herbs. Pour apple cider vinegar over herbs

until jar is full. (Vinegar dissolves calcium and other minerals and holds

them in solution.) Cover with a plastic lid and let sit for 6 weeks.

" To use: Pour on your salad, put on your beans, add to soup, or dilute 1

Tbsp. in 1 cup of water and add 1 Tbsp. of blackstrap molasses, which adds

137 mg of calcium.

CALCIUM-RICH BREW

(1 cup contributes 300 mg calcium)

Nettle: 1 oz./30g dry

Horsetail: 1 Tbsp/2 g dry

Sage: 1 Tbsp./2 g dry

" Crush sage between palms and drop into liter container with other herbs.

Fill with boiling water, cap tightly, and let brew for 4 hours. Strain. In

place of, or in addition to, nettle use red clover tops, oatstraw, or

raspberry leaves.

Looks good to me. These are some pretty good recipes. I especially like the Yellow Dock, and you know me = I love the Lemon Egg formula. Another great source for calcium is Cabbage.

Love,
