I have used MSM powder for aches and pains and it works real well within a half hour. Need to take it with Vit C. Take about 1/2 tsp to 1 tsp. of MSM in a glass of water. Best, Joy

Hello again....

I am the person with the terrible joint pain and inflammation. My

son thinks I should try accupuncture, and an acquaintance of mine has

a Shiatsu clinic. I am going to try shiatsu tonight to see if I get

any relief, just wondering if anyone here has tried and/or had any

success with this kind of treatment for arthritis or other ailments.

One other thing I want to throw out here....I went to the doctor

again on Friday....he once again gave me prescriptions for two kinds

of pills....(surprise). I asked them to test me for " Fifth disease "

(parvovirus B19), he reluctantly agreed to give me the test, but he

said he doubted that is my problem because my " RA factor " (the blood

test for rheumatological conditions) came back at 383, and a normal

persons RA factor is usually around 20. I think he misread this

number....that seems too far off the charts to me. What do you all

think?

Took a Shiatsu training way back in 1974. It is a great self-help

technique. You will often find that the point that needs most to be done,

is the one that is most tender.

So i've been using it as a practically unconscious part of my life since

then. There are certain points that are great for headaches, so that's one

problem i never really have to deal with. Just do the points, and the whole

thing is gone within a couple of minutes. Also have used it on my wife at

times, and occasionally on friends. Good stuff, all around, because there

isn't any heavy doctrine connected to it. You just do the points as needed,

and that's it. Of course this won't work on everything, but it works enough

of the time to be worth knowing.

Not familiar with the RA number and its use -- sorry.

Acupuncture is wonderful to help with pain and inflammation. Moxa

can be used along with it too. Also amma therapy is very helpful.
