Guest guest
Hi, I suffer from panic attacks, and I would like to know if there is a natural method that can help me with my problem, I do not like taking prescription drugs. It all started about 8 years ago when I got trapped on the off ramp of the freeway for about 20 minutes and it really scared me. Since then when I am in the car on a crowded freeway, or in a crowded shopping mall, I start feeling trapped again and have the urge to go to the bathroom, start shaking, and sweating. If there is something natural that I can take when I am in the car or when I feel a panic attack coming on it would be great, or if there is a a certain food that helps. Guest guest
Vitamin B complex is definitely the main remedy against mental problems. If you're not already taking it, trying a typical health food store product that's usually known as " B-50 " would be an excellent idea. It may also help with many other problems. Brown rice is also a good fundamental food to help with this, as a complement to other foods of course. Make sure you avoid monosodium glutamate in your normal diet, as it is a nerve irritant. You will find it in most commercial soup mixes, both canned and powedered, and in many other convenience foods. Eventually someone will recommend either Valerian or St. Johns Wort to you. These are good herbs, which have helped some people in some cases. But they have their limitations. Both of them tend to get less effective over time. The action of Valerian is more of a relaxant in general. St. Johns Wort is normally used for depression these days -- it has a long and controversial history in that regard. Not all cases of panic attack respond to any of this. That's because panic attacks are also spiritual in nature, and some people have a very strong remnant of some trauma lurking in their subconscious, so to speak. These tougher cases, i have noticed, will clear up only with prayer or with the application of Dianetics therapy. Of course neither of these remedies involve herbs. Guest guest
Dear Michael, I've heard this before and do not know what it is. Would you please let me know, what is Dianetics Therapy? Thanks! Patie
Guest guest
Due to various controversies, i would recommend that you repeat this inquiry privately. Your email didn't include your address in a usable form. Guest guest
Dear Elana, There is probably a lot that proper nutrition would help in this area. As far as an herb is concerned for panic attacks. Lobelia is the answer. If you were to feel one coming on, one or two dropperfuls of a good high quality Lobelia tincture would snap you right out of it. Of course this is the bandaid approach, but it would be very successful while also looking at diet, lifestyle changes, and cleansing to bring about a permanent handling.
