Hi Doc,There was a pair of lawyers in BC, Levy and someone else that launched the lawsuit, but alot of truths became known as a result. Vince Foster (who was said to have committed suicide) in the US was one of the key people involved in the purchase and selling of prison blood. Still there are alot of unanswered questions. Hep C, previously known as non a non b hepatitis was discovered in the 50's (reference merck manual 1956) So there was a screening test then.However for some reason Canada decided only to compensate people who were transfused between the years 86-90. (Siting the test only became available in 86, but was not used until 90) Even though it is speculated and pretty much proven that Hep C is man made and a result of the yellow fever vaccine (source - The panama Story) Governments failed to accept responsibilty for that one so only people transfused recieved compensation. (and people who became infected by someone who was transfused) So there are still issues.Thats one medical mishap that did become public. Others that were not so public or became known years later were the testings that went on in private institutions for the mentally handicapped. Many were injected with diseases, like typhoid, hepatitis b, TB, and other undesireables to try and cure them. Non consentual injections as well. This occured in the 60's and was exposed in the 90's. Under the search"Medical Murder"In searches I have learned more patients die as a result of hospital errors, then car accidents. 2000 over 250,000 americans died as a result of medical mix ups. A dangerous thing that no one seems to be addressing. Funny, car accidents are recognized as dangerous things so we all have to wear seatbelts now, but we have no protection against a medical mishap!As for Horowitz, you can read his input and participation in the Krever Report. The exposure is phenominal!As for the treatments for HCV.... (Conventional) lol, they are using an old cancer drug. Interferon. Its not working well. I don't use it, never would!
