Guest guest
Hi! I'm really new at this, and I'm having a severe problem with lack of energy. I know that I'm very anemic, and I am eating a lot of iron rich foods, however it's not helping. I made some pills this weekend that seem to be helping, but I'm getting pressure from my husband to go to a doctor and I don't wanna do that. The pills I made this weekend have astragalus, cayenne, ginseng, kelp, spirulina, and schisandra berries in them. Right now I'm basically taking one an hour because otherwise I run out of energy. Now I realize that this is just a symptom of a much bigger underlying problem. And I'm putting together a plan of action to take care of that so my body doesn't need the help. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks Suzi2 ===== Love like you've never been hurt, and dance like noone's watching. Check out Shopping and Auctions for all of your unique holiday gifts! Guest guest
MHO, is anemia can be a serious condition. My mother is anemic and had to have a blood transfusion once. I think both you and your husband are right. You need to know what is wrong with you to treat the problem herbaly. Once you find out, you can determine what herbs to take and maybe what juices (if you juice, you should because there are a lot of veggies that are very good for anemic people) to drink. Going to the doctor doesn't necessarily mean you need to take the prescribed meds, because like most of us know they treat the symptoms not the cause. Anyway, that's my 2 cents. Good luck. Guest guest
Check your environment. If you're around home more than your husband, there's at least a chance that some factor there is knocking you down. It might be electromgnetic fields, or a mold infestation in the kitchen or bathroom. Make sure there are no iron lamps or clock radios within three feet of your normal sleeping position. See if your circuit breaker box is in the bedroom. Look outside the house and see if there are any big powerlines close by. Things like that can make a difference in these low-energy cases. Those pills are powerful. Partly they should be stimulating your thyroid. Definitely you should have a long talk with a good naturopath because lots of questions need to be covered. This needs to be a lot more than the 3 minutes that an M.D. typically gives to a female patient (that's a national average.) At 06:43 AM 12/17/01 -0800, you wrote: >Hi! Guest guest
I second Michael's suggestions to the letter! Especially since you have low energy.. might be difficult for you to accomplish tasks to help yourself as well as clean up your home environment. Finding a good naturopath sounds necessary. The rewards are well worth it.. Good luck Beth
