Guest guest
Cleansing Herbs For Best Performance, Run Clean By Mark Pedersen, World-Renowned Herbalist & Product Formulator Imagine, if you will, the power of Youngevity's Cleansing Herbs as recently reported to Mark Pedersen, renowned herbalist and author, as well as one of our chief product formulators. Pedersen received a letter from a gentlemen who had quite a 'colorful' experience with the product: " When I began my Cleansing Herbs routine, I was surprised by the brightly colored stools it produced. I was amazed - and somewhat alarmed! - by the streaks of red, yellow, and blue in them. Then I remembered all the crayons I had eaten as a child! To my utter disbelief, I was seeing the vivid remainders of these waxy coloring sticks finally exit my digestive system after decades of being tucked away in the pockets of my bowel. I am convinced that the improved health and well-being I am experiencing today is directly related to my usage of Youngevity's Cleansing Herbs. I am ridding myself of the toxins that accumulate in my system and I feel wonderful! " Cleansing Herbs Profile by Mark Pedersen Like this individual, we can all benefit from a boost to the body's digestive system, which provides the fuel for energy and the nutritional building blocks required to manufacture its various tissues, cells, and complex chemical compounds. The digestive system is also responsible for eliminating waste through the bowel and maintaining water balance throughout the body. Other than metabolism and genetics, the average bowel transit time is the greatest enemy of immunity from disease and aging. As we age, and become more sedentary, our eating habits become less healthy and bowel transit time increases. Increasing bowel transit time allows more digestive waste to be absorbed into the bloodstream. These toxins are free radicals that speed the process of aging and disease. Many things contribute to poor bowel health including eating habits, lack of physical activity, and emotional stress. When digestive waste is not eliminated, it is either absorbed into the bloodstream as toxic waste, or is stored for long periods of time in the pockets of the bowel. Youngevity's Cleansing Herbs Formula Laxatives, both bulking fiber and stimulants are useful for minimizing bowel transit time and helping to eliminate this source of oxidative stress. The effect of fiber in the diet promotes the growth of friendly flora. Commonly called acidophilous, these bacteria produce vitaminsand control unwanted yeast in the bowel. Youngevity's Cleansing Herbs gently combine bulk and stimulant laxative properties, maximizing digestion and minimizing bowel transit time. Bulking laxatives give a sluggish bowel the signal to contract, decreasing bowel transit time. Bulking fiber also absorbs toxins from the bowel and promotes the growth of friendly flora. The stimulant laxatives in Cleansing Herbs were chosen for their ability to move the bowel without cramping, and contain Cascara Sagrada or 'sacred bark' used by Native Americans for centuries in sacred cleansing rituals. Using Cleansing Herbs everyday is a great way to insure proper digestive system health. Cleansing Herbs now comes in a 90-count bottle, providing you with a complete month's supply of this important product. To use Cleansing Herbs every day, begin by taking the product in the evening of the first day of a weekend or holiday. This will allow you some time to develop a pattern of regular bowel movements. Take the recommended dose of three capsules with plenty of water before you go to bed. If this does not produce a bowel movement in the morning, increase the dose to 4-6 capsules the second evening. Continue to adjust the dose of Cleansing Herbs each evening until you achieve a daily morning bowel movement. Each of us has a unique digestive system and lifestyle. As a result, each of us will use Cleansing Herbs a little differently. The most important thing to remember when beginning a daily bowel-cleansing program is that the goal is regular bowel movements. A regular bowel movement once a day is sufficient. This simple cleansing method will provide you with four important benefits: 1. Shorter bowel transit time 2. Improved elimination of digestive waste 3. Increased production of digestive acids and enzymes 4. Better absorption of healthy nutrients 5. Promotes the growth of friendly flora Factors in Digestive System Health The process of digestion is designed to be very efficient, taking about 2 minutes in our mouth and about 90 minutes in our stomach. Digestion continues in the small intestine, but absorption also occurs there. Absorption takes about 90 minutes more in the small intestine, and then the remaining material is passed to the bowel. Water is absorbed from the bowel over the next 8-16 hours and the waste is passed out of the body as stool. We have many ways of abusing and weakening our digestive system. Overeating, constant snacking, and diluting digestive juices with liquids can all reduce our capacity to digest food. Indigestion can effect nearly anyone, stress causes people to eat too much or too fast. Aging naturally reduces our capacity to produce digestive acid and enzymes. To insure proper digestive health, it is important to maintain proper eating habits. Eat correctly and minimize the intake of liquids with meals. Water dilutes the digestive acid and enzymes. Cold water diverts blood flow from the digestive process requiring 30 minutes or more to warm the stomach and its contents. Other liquids are even more detrimental. Most dark colored liquids including coffee, tea, herbal tea, and cola drinks contain tannins that bind to minerals, preventing their absorption into the blood stream. Besides liquids, many people use antacids to combat indigestion. This effectively stops digestion by neutralizing digestive acid. Digestive enzymes are the catalyst for proper digestion. Supplementation with digestive enzymes effectively replenishes these important substances. Uncooked fruits and vegetables are rich in natural digestive enzymes. Diets rich in processed and cooked foods usually lack natural digestive enzymes. To assist the digestive process, oncentrated enzymes from fruits and vegetables taken as a supplement to the diet is a convenient way of increasing your digestive capacity.
