Substitute for Red Rasp during labour?

Hey folks, I have a friend that is due for birth the first week of

january. There is a slight chance it could come earlier, as she has

been told to rest to keep this from happening. She would like to

take Red raspberry until birth and also during labor, but we can only

find the alcohol tincture, not the dried leaves. So the question is,

are there a few other herbs that work the same way AND that someone

has experience with? And is it a bad idea to use the tincture in

some warm water so the alcohol evaporates? I'm in europe, so if

anyone knows something that is normally used here I would appreciate

it. If not I can go on the hunt - as usual
