garlic and cayenne

When you insert a garlic bud 'you know

where', you may indeed experience a burning sensation,

but it isn't real bad and is over in a few minutes.

Just get real busy doing something physical, and

before you know it, you have forgotten all about it.

As for the cayenne, if it is inserted in a 00 capsule,

then you may experience a cooling sensation in that

area. I never experienced any burning with this, but

only the cooling sensation. But of course, the

capsule only holds a little bit, even when it is very

tightly packed, so I can't speak about larger amounts.

It looks like you for sure won't have any serious

discomfort and these two can sure do a lot of good.

Best wishes, pj

Funny thing about Cayenne and bleeding. You can put Cayenne directly onto an open bleeding wound and it won't burn, but it'll stop the bleeding immediately. I've never experimented with this on an internal ulcerated colon, but I would think the same would hold true. Have any of you out there tried this??? Of course it may be an individual matter, and may 'burn' some but not others.

Doc,

I new a gentleman who had a stomach ulcer and was on a

medicine that began with a Z, dont recall the name,

and he was taking regular for quite some time. He

started using cayenne and after about two months

through the medicine away and to this day only uses

the cayenne for his ulcer.

Zantac is a med for stomach acid and heatburn. I think maybe you mean Xanax

(sounds like Zan-ax) which is in the same family as valium.

Dear herbal fans,

I haven't had occassion to try cayenne for stomach

ulcers but the other night my son had a very bad nose

bleed. I rememberd the cayenne, put a teaspoon in a

warm glass of water (as per instructions in Dr. John

Christopher's book, " Herbal home health Care, " ) and

within five minutes the bleeding stopped. Amazing

stuff!

It's supposed to be a great preventative for heart

attacks too.

The medicine you're thinking of is probably Zantac, which is technically a

psychiatric drug. It changes the way nerve chemicals act, instead of

actually working on the original problem.

It has been documented that in many cases, simply drinking enough water will

cure ulcers. That was one of the first discoveries made about water being a

medicine in itself. Large numbers of people do not drink enough water,

generally because they are drinking too much coffee or soda instead.

As far as the Zantac.. at one point my gastro docs had me on Zantac and Propulsid :( (yes I know how toxic it is) for what was diagnosed as reflux disease and who knows what else. Since I have walked away from this type of medicine ... taking digestive enzymes.. detox supplements and a modified eating protocol I no longer have reflux disease. :)

Xanax is usually prescribed for anxiety disorders...or a reasonable facsimile thereof..

They are both benzodiazepines. Both highly addictive.

I stand by my statement that Zantac is technically a psychiatric drug. Its

effect is on nerve system chemicals, not directly on the digestive system.

This information comes partly from the label information that comes with the

drug.

I should add, in all charity, that Xanax is acknowledged even by

psychiatrists as one of the most addictive drugs ever made. It is usually

tried out of either desperation or ignorance. You will have a hard time

getting an ordinary doctor to admit that, though. I was unaware that Xanax

is regarded as being related to Valium. That's another can of worms, as

Valium has the effect of depleting the body's dopamine reserves, thus

restricting motion. (You won't find that statement in the medical

literature -- had to decode that from its chemistry.)

Some of these similar drug names are very confusing. Currently i have

trouble with the difference between Celebrex and Celexa. They are very

different in their actions and recommended uses.

Stomach ulcers I've had some experience with. I was just assuming it would work for an ulcerated colon as well.
