Guest guest
I would just like to know what the general feel for Homeopathy is amongst Herbalists. I don't know what to think of it myself, but my experience thus far has been pretty positive. I also want to know what it's all about. My homeopathologist gave me some drops, capsules and a supplement for all kinds of stuff. She told me that not only do I have candida, but that I'm alergic to it. She told me not to eat yeast...which I'm having a hard time abiding by...and a number of other interesting things about my condition that I suspected, but could not prove. Is this just hokus pokus, or a placebo, or is it for real...In your opinion?? I wanted to call you to talk over my problems, but I am practically homeless and I have about one dollar to get me through until payday (in 19 days), so I did what I could, which was go to my homeopathologist appointment that I waited for two months to get. They're going to let me make payments, which is better for me in this position than buying all the ingredients for making herbal remedies...which I would have just as happily done. In fact, I have that friend of mine with the epilepsy making his own tinctures...some of which he says he's afraid to make (he's afraid of the taste/smell, but open-minded about the rest). Anyway, being homeless and penniless, I don't have the time or resources to make them myself, which is why I wanted to know whether homeopathy was a good way to go. I got in there and got some answers and some remedies and things have been looking pretty good. Just doing a cross check with the Doc, because I want to make sure I'm on the right track. I could send you a copy of my " read-out " that shows which of my systems are stressed. There are only two that are balanced and none are weak. Okay, thanks for your time Doc! Guest guest
If you go to www.google.com and type in homeopathy several sites will come up. You can type in different subjects homeopathologist, homeopathy, etc. etc. Marcia from Arkansas "If I were to try to read, much less answer, all the attacks made on me, this shop might as well be closed for any other business. I do the very best I know how - the very best I can; and I mean to keep doing so until the end. If the end brings me out all right, what's said against me won't amount to anything. If the end brings me out wrong, ten angels swearing I was right would make no difference." Abraham Lincoln
Guest guest
See answers below. Ian "Doc" Shillington N.D.505-772-5889Dr.IanShillington - froot8loop herbal remedies Wednesday, December 05, 2001 12:53 PM [herbal remedies] Hey Doc...concerning: Homeopathy I would just like to know what the general feel for Homeopathy is amongst Herbalists. I don't know what to think of it myself, but my experience thus far has been pretty positive. I also want to know what it's all about. Welllll, everyone on the list has their own opinion as to how good it is ;o) and I can only give you mine, which is: That homeopathy has a certain workability, but is very limited. On the other hand I have so far found no limits to herbalism from a physical viewpoint. Could be valid or bogus, but hard to tell with the small amount of data you've given. You could also have a gluten intolerance which adds to the yeast problem. You need to give a lot more data here kiddo before we can really go in a good direction. I always go by results. If you are making GOOD progress, then go with what your homeopathist is advising you, and do her program exactly as laid out. Nothing is more frustrating for a professional then to give some good solid advice which is then ignored or lied about. Do her program as honestly as you can. If it doesn't work, then fire her ass and find yourself a good herbalist or ask on list for some good advice. We've got some very good herbalists on the list here ;o)I wanted to call you to talk over my problems, but I am practically homeless and I have about one dollar to get me through until payday (in 19 days), so I did what I could, which was go to my homeopathologist appointment that I waited for two months to get. This may sound trite, but the solution to money problems is simply: Make more money!!!!!!!!!!!! Whenever, I find myself getting into a money crunch, I just WORK harder, talk to more people, promote my tail off, take on more patients, etc. etc. etc. Works every time. The bottom line is that we are, each and everyone of us responsible for his or her own condition (physical, mental and spiritual). They're going to let me make payments, which is better for me in this position than buying all the ingredients for making herbal remedies...which I would have just as happily done. Damn! Go out and wild craft your own. You probably have more herbs out in your own back yard or in the nearby countryside then you could shake a stick at. This could be the beginnings of a new business for you ;o) and another source of income. Never compromise with quality. Buy a book and educate yourself and get busy. You don't have to be the effect of this. In fact, I have that friend of mine with the epilepsy making his own tinctures...some of which he says he's afraid to make (he's afraid of the taste/smell, but open-minded about the rest). You should get him on this list and then his fears will be allayed by one of us. The best thing that I can tell you is that, "You are CAUSE in your own life". It is you who will create your own future, good or bad, and it is you who will reap the benefits or detriment from the seeds that you sow.
