I was wondering what people use to press their herbal tinctures and

infused oils...gloves and cheese cloth can get real old (especially

cayenne!). But I can't find an herb press on the internet that is

small for home use.

Thanks!

Find an old Norwalk juicer if you can. The older the better. Mine is over 50 years old with a 12 ton press on it. Weighs over 300 lbs but leaves absolutely no liquid in the mash. The CEO of Norwalk offered me 2 brand new ones for mine and I turned him down. A new Norwalk costs about $2,500 and will do the trick though you'll have to order some real quality cloths, or make your own out of organic cotton canvas. Norwalk no longer supplies you with the top quality cloths as they used to.

Hope this helps.

I found one at a beer making store. It is made in Italy and the name on the

box is Torcheietto Spremi. It is all stainless steel - and it serves my

purpose. It gets just about every drop of tincture out of the herbs. I

paid $80.00 for it. It is smaller and I really like it. Wish I had a

website to share with you - but I like it alot.

For $80.00 it is a great little contraption. The name on the box is Torcheietto Spremi and made in Italy. I hope this helps.

I looked on the internet in the beer making stores and it appears the kind of press is a micro press and it runs about $80 on several sites. Thanks for the tip!!
