(I think I'm becoming a dumb blond, or maybe its senile.... the brown is turning to gray instead of blond....) I thought about taking some grape seed oil and adding some total tonic.... I didn't.... I took some tea tree oil and grape seed oil last nite and put some cotton in. He said later he didn't see any diff.... and was still asleep this am when I left. Never let the amount stop you either. A screwed up quantity of herbs is still better than either not doing it at all or using the store bought stuff. You're not a "dumb blonde" (even I have 'dumb blonde' days once in a while {ssssh, don't tell anyone ;o} LOL), and you're definitely on the right track. Just the garlic and olive oil will help dramatically. You can even warm it up if you wish to but not above 100* F. It slows it down and then stops. Once, with a very bad nose bleed, I had to take it twice, as the first time only slowed it down to a trickle, and then the second time it stopped completely. My own opinion, I wouldn't put just straight cayenne powder up the nose. It should be mixed with other herbs. I have put cayenne and garlic both into every oriface in the body except the urinary tract. With both garlic and cayenne up the nose, I thought my brain exploded. And when I put it up the bum, well, let's just say I now know why dogs drag their behinds. So, try the tincture by mouth. I was woke up early in the a.m. with another one! Thankfully this one was not bad. I am wondering if my blood pressure is out of whack since they are coming pretty regularly these days. This is an old idea, which was more commonly thought in the 1950's than now. Iron is one of those nutrients that can be taken to excess. Love, Doc Herbal Snuff Formula (A part is a measurement by volume = cups, Tbls, etc.) 7 parts Goldenseal Root Powder 7 parts Bayberry Bark Powder 1 part Cayenne Pepper Powder 1 part Garlic Powder All the above must be ground up very finely. Best to use Habanero Cayenne as it is the hottest. Mix it very well as a clump of Cayenne could keep your eyes in tears for an hour ;o) Won't hurt you though.
