Guest guest
Hi everyone, I am new to to this group. My name is Fahad Ullah Khan. Im am writing because of two reasons. Firstly mymother who has suffered from breast cancer in the past, has a very weak immune system, shehas a toe nail fungusproblem which despite heavy anti biotics has never gone away, and it gets worse every day, shes even developingin grown toe nails and has to physically remove them very often. Secondly for the last 4 years have sufferedfrom weak stomach. I had eaten a chinese meal outside which unfortunatly resulted in food poisoning. I didnot go and see a doctor for 9 months thinking it would go away. When I did see him i was given a course of antibiotics to take. Since then I have become allergic to a number of foods such as garlic, coriander seeds, milk, food cooked in any dairy product such as yoghurt or milk , and mint tends to leave me constipated. I havebecome obbessive with what I eat and I dont. I am based in Pakistan at the moment, and I have to daily makesure everything is cooked and boiled very carefully. I tend to get food poisoning , and gastro entitis muchmore often and my stomach generally is often suffering from some digestive complaint each month, whether it isindigestion or mild food poisoning. I am really tired of taking things like secnadizole and anti bacterialtablets or antibiotics. I would appreicate any help in this matter. Apart from that my appetite is good and Ilead a healthy life with exercise regularly. Thank you, Fahad
Guest guest
Generally if a person gets too many antibiotics, essential bacteria inside the digestive system are killed off, and it it much more difficult to digest food. People who must use antibiotics are generally advised to take an acidopholous supplement and/or eat yougurt at least once a day. Since you're manifesting a dairy allergy, obviously eating yogurt won't help. You might check into getting sheep or goat milk yogurt, which should be widely available in Pakistan. I'm not sure if you can get the acidopholous supplements there. If you have any Dravidian ancestry, it is likely that dairy allergies would run in your family. Is there any Chinese community in your part of Pakistan? If so, you have a very good resource available. I have had great success in the past with Bo Hai herbal pills (also known as Po Chai). This is a standardized herbal product available from a number of Chinese manufacturers. As for the toe fungus, my first recommendation would be to sprinkle Golden Seal powder on it, if that's available in your part of the world. A Chinese herb that might work would be Angelica Sinensis. This post aroused my curiosity. It occurred to me that perhaps no Ayurvedic doctors have survived in Pakistan due to the events surrounding Independence there. Is that correct? I read somewhere that the ratio of doctors to population is very poor in Pakistan. I assume this applies to Western-trained doctors. But within Islamic tradition surely there is a line of medical practice. These traditional healers would probably not be counted in statistics. How do they work in Pakistan? Is there a registration law for them? What sorts of remedies do they use? At 08:30 PM 12/1/01 +0500, you wrote: > > Hi everyone, > > I am new to to this group. My name is Fahad Ullah Khan.
