Guest guest
Doc, The vodka is expensive for tincture making. You have said, I think, that some preparations could be made using vinegar. Is there a list and instructions regarding this as I think I can better afford the vinegar. Thank you. pj GeoCities - quick and easy web site hosting, just $8.95/month. http://geocities./ps/info1
Guest guest
Dear PJ, Not necessarily an easy question. Many herbs can be used with either. My Lobelia is half vinegar, half 100 proof alcohol. You can use either with garlic, cayenne, onions, horseradish, ginger, etc. and come up with a workable tincture. As a rule of thumb; roots, barks, hard stems, etc should be made with 100 or 120 proof alcohol as it pulls better. Leaves, flowers, (the softer parts of plants) could probably be used with either with great success. Then there's the question of taste ;o) Love, Doc PS. Hope that answers it for you.
