Guest guest
Hi MB, I have a 10 yr. old with autism, too. Our children have different issues but I suggest you call Doc. I sought his guidance a few months ago and have been more encouraged than ever. My goal at the time was to get William as healthy as I could, thinking that some of the " quirks of autism " would be alleviated. Doc sees no reason why the body can't recover from autism. William is non verbal and low functioning (a throwaway to some of the medical community) but he is going in the right direction since following Doc's recommendations. Good luck, Ann in Memphis
Guest guest
Hello everyone, I was wondering if there was an herbal solution to loose bowels? My oldest son is 10. He has a chromosome deletion and autism. Many of the parents in our support group mention their ring 22 child haveing loose stools. It appears the deletions affected the intestines ability to make the stools firm. It is not diet related that we can tell. But it gets worse if their is head congestion. Any ideas? Guest guest
Many ideas, and success in that area, but tooooo involved to go over on the list. Suggest you call Ann and talk to her about her son William not only for the support, but also the successful actions I've got her working on. There is hope!!! This condition can be completely reversed despite what the medicos tell you. Guest guest
Raspberry leaf tea has worked for many " normal " people. It is worth a try in this case. I would be very interested to know how it works for your son. Other traditional remedies for this included kaolin, a type of clay, and pectin, which is an extract of apples. These were the main ingredients of the old Kaopectate, before they changed the formula. Including apples as a regular part of his diet would probably be helpful.
