Guest guest
Hello. I have a 2 yr old daughter who is allergic to mosquito bites. Unfortunately, mosquitos seem to really like her and she reacts badly to the bites. The bites swell up and become inflamed and full of pus. They are very itchy and sore, so she tends to scratch until the bleed. They then scar badly. I have tried a herbal repellant with eucalyptus, lavender and citrinella during the day, but I need something to use at night. She seems to get bitten at night in bed. I use calendulla cream on the bites, and another cream with icthemal (?), yet nothing really helps. I would greatly appreciate any assistance in this matter. Cheers, Cynthia
Guest guest
Two things seem to help with making the whole body into a mosquito repellent. One is good B Vitamin supplementation -- for a 2 yr old that's difficult to compute, but in this case worth the time. You might have to find a liquid supplement to get the proper dosage. The other is, oddly enough, avoiding meat. I'm not a vegetarian now, but was for several years, and rarely got bitten during that time. Now i live in an area where there are few mosquitos, so it's not a big deal any more. Also, and this is more of an intuitive hit, you might try aloe vera juice. That's one of those experiments that can't hurt and might help. At 11:59 AM 11/21/01 -0000, you wrote: >Hello. I have a 2 yr old daughter who is allergic to mosquito >bites.
