Guest guest
Peg...... I am a lurker.... never saw your post. Sorry. Are you trying to get rid of Yeast infection? Or will you try to rid yourself of the candida out of your system completely? (which I would strongly suggest, but your post of " I have candida " was a bit vague, so I am only going by that) Yeast infection symptoms are quite easy to get rid of, but if you have candida, will keep coming back. You need to be taking Acidopholus, I get the capsules, and I buy yoghurt, with active acidopholus biphidus (sp) (I am so tired *G*) in it, such as Astro plain or flavoured yoghurt. Ok, this is gross, but trust me, it works. I eat the yoghurt, (flavoured) like a maniac, probably a bucket a day, and then (ok this is the gross part) I use the plain yoghurt directly on the affected area. I lather it onto a menses pad, and wear it, I find it less messy that way. Also, and this isn't quite pleasant either, but works, soak a garlic clove in Olive oil and a little tea tree oil, and insert. Yes, I know, but like I said, it works. Perhaps once every couple of hours or so? Dr. Ian might have more to suggest on this. Also I have used grapeseed extract in combination with Echinacea and vit C, internally. (by mouth!!! lolol) I also read that boric acid, inserted in a capsule into the vagina works amazing, but I was unsure, so I didn't try. Maybe ask Dr. Ian. Now, that should take care of the Yeast infection temporarily until you can battle what is causing it for the long term. Candida diets are extremely intense and difficult to follow, and you must be extremely vigilant when following it, but there are a ton of sites/ books, etc.... which will give you full instructions on cleansing and diet changes for Candida sufferers. Two little side notes: avoid sexual intercourse with your partner, until they have also been checked and treated for the yeast, because they will just continue to give it back to you. and totally avoid antibiotics. YUCK. They are no good for candida sufferers especially. I think that I am done. I know I have babbled far too long. Amazing what happens when someone comes out of lurk mode. Other more qualified list members can probably give you more specific amounts, treatment, etc... but that is a start any way.
