Guest guest
I had some luck with spraying echinacea (sp?) tincture directly on the back of my throat. Also, although I have not tried it, I did watch a video from Dr. Christopher's son which showed a formula for strep throat made from crushed garlic, honey and cayenne pepper. They showed about a five year old child taking it from a spoon and he seemed to like it! Hope this helps, Mindy Kittay
Guest guest
....oh yeah! I put plenty of lemon and raw honey in the tea, too! Though sugar is known to slow down your immunity, raw honey is anti-bacterial! Steve ----------------------------- Sindea, When I was back in college an old doc told me since the cultures would not come back for a few days... to go home and sip a shot of whiskey every night and every morning and to gargle with hydrogen peroxide BUT DONOT swallow it (Do you know how hard that is) Well, I did not do the peroxide after one try of it) However, the whiskey apparently killed whatever was in my throat.... the culture s came back just an infection similar to strep but not strep... Zinc lozengers are good too. Suzi --- sindea <sindea wrote: > Hi all- I have dragged myself down the stairs to > seek some help... I am SURE I have strep (BTDT too > many times in the past). Guest guest
No, I do not. It is 3:41am and I am awake and miserable. Obviously the super tonic would help, but since I do not have any and it takes time (and energy- something my sick body does not have)... any other ideas? I look like a bull-frog right now my throat is so huge. Mindy suggested making a combo of garlic, cayenne and honey- how would this be made? and would it just turn into honey balls? is it made from fresh cayenne and fresh garlic? I am also using an herbal throat mist, by Wise Woman Herbals, but so far it is not doing any good... I am going to lay down now. thanks for the help Sindeadriving Geoff nuts since 1994... The cayenne was dried. Hope this helps. Mindy Kittay
Guest guest
This is absolutely a horrible cure, but it worked for me many times: a few drops of Tabasco red sauce thrown directly back into the throat. Some people think the cure is worse than the disease in this case. At 06:46 PM 9/19/01 -0700, you wrote: >Hi all- I have dragged myself down the stairs to seek some help...
