....But there's a fuzzy catepiller crawling up your back!

Yep, Sunday I did have a fuzzy catepiller crawling up my back and I unknowingly

smooshed (technical term) him all over the back of my shirt. Now I have a horribly

read and itchy rash all over my back...OW! Any ideas?

I have been putting an oil mixture called White Flower that really helps with the

itchiness, but not for very long.

I am currently living in Kentucky, but I grew up in Phoenix, AZ. My father-in-law called

to tell me about the shooting in Mesa...I was sick about it! There was a woman who

was chased through a mall here in Kentucky, but I did not hear whether she was actually

from an Arab country. We have Saudi soldiers and their families who live on this military post

and normally you see them around....but lately they have been very scarce.

Question to the list.... If you had to put together an emergency herbal kit, what would be

the few things that you just could not live without???

Blessings to All!

For itchy rashes I use a salve made from chickweed and plantain.

A compress will do just fine if you don't have a salve made. You

can also make extra infusion and drink part of it and use part as a compress.

(Always treat internally as well as externally)

I'm not a very accomplished herbalist yet, but my emergency kit contains

echinacea (and some day I'll learn to spell it)tincture, sage, comfrey

root, garlic, cayenne and yarrow.

Sorry Michael Riversong, but it is only the *root that the Natiave

Americans deem poison. :) Finally found that reference in Earthways by

Mary Summer Rain.
