Want to learn the truth about Psychiatry???

Dear All,

Many of you have heard me expound upon the dangers of Psychiatry and Psychology in the past but I don't think I ever explained why I have such a passion for exposing these pseudo sciences and the charlatans who operate them.

In 1991, it was 'accidently' thrown upon my plate for me to investigate the number of children subjected to Psychiatric abuses in the entire Phoenix area (includes all the surrounding cities like Scottsdale, Tempe, etc.), and I was shocked to discover that over 10,000 school aged children in that area were on Psychiatric Psychtropic drugs such as Ritalin and Prozac. I was outraged. I personally had access to over 2,000 of these children and the 4 months I spent investigating this were 4 of the most heartbreaking months I've ever spent. Forgive me if I don't go into very great detail, for it is still hard for me to drag these memories into present time.

Not only the personnel, but the profession has very dirty hands.

Hi Ian,

I am in Canada, and know three mothers today who are

faced with drugging thier kids or putting them in

special school. <if they choose that, they are going

to have a very hard time getting them out of that type

of school. I know the kids. Active, OH YES, but not to

the point where they can't be learned. I have posted

on other boards the atrocity of this. Now, teachers

may be making these recommendations and having a

heavier hand in the decision making process regarding

drugging our children. You think your sad? Im 38, I

was given Ritalin at 11 yrs old as a " clinical trial "

3 months later I was admitted to the hospital for

anorexia (then called a " refusal to eat " ) I was'nt

hungry because I was given speed. I was'nt calm

because I was'nt " hyperactive " <as it was termed then.

ADD did not exist or at least I never heard that one

back then. When the ritalin failed, I was given shots

of chlorapromazine for a while, til my tongue swelled

to the point of being unable to speak or eat.

Eventually I was given Valium.

3 x a day 5 mgs. (15 mgs total) dosage increased over

the years to 30 mgs per day. (Answered my parents

prayers I guess) I took it for many years. I have a

very hard time getting completely off it these days. I

use valarien. I try not to call the doctor when Im

roughing it...unfortunately, I suffer great anxiety

without knowing its around.

No excuses, I know this is a GROSS drug. I also know

the evil of psychiatry and lazy parents and teachers.

Sorry, I know we are in the midst of a precarious

place and time and you are offering insight. I

understood your post for its honest worth and TRUTH. I

just had to vent. Thank you for the info!!
