I noticed a posting about Calamine lotion. My son has extremely bad

allergies, (He cant even lie in the grass for two minutes without breaking

out in welts and puffy eyes) and I have always tried to use nothing but all

natural, herbal etc... remedies. You know, like bathing in camomile and

black tea? :) However for things such as welts, itching, etc.... I found the

only thing that does the trick fast, is Calamine. Now, my question is,

exactly how bad/good is this stuff. I mean, I have always been quite weary

of using it because unsure of derivatives.. etc....

Anyone got the goods on calamine, so that I can either put my mind to rest,

or stop using completely? I mean, I know its not going to seriously effect

him, but if it is really harshly chemical, I would prefer not to use it.

Thanks again in advance for your wisdom...

All I have is Caladryl, but it is far from all natural, but if it is all that

works, then what are you gonna do except use it 'til you find something better

(unless it causes side effects).
