Guest guest
Dear List; The title of this thread gives me shudders without reading the intolerance for different beliefs that has been posted here lately. How heartily the financer of the past week's events must be laughing quietly in his boots that anyone would turn this into a religious debate that enflames emotions. The attack on the World Trade Centre - killing people of all faiths and all countries - is no more based on religious principles than Jonestown was, however, Western society with it's affluence that allows the consumption of oil to the degree it does, has contributed far more, financially, to the incident than citizens in the Middle East. They can't afford cars, furnaces, etc., and, it is likely to be those of us who can afford to own or use computers and be on a list like this that are far more to blame for financing the recent destruction, just as those who buy tabloid rags were to blame when Princess Diana was hounded by press. I don't know why such a debate has been fueled on a list that supposedly promotes health and well being and heartily thank the person who wrote below for attempting some semblance of reality when most are speaking and acting out of anger, pain, and personal belief systems, rather than truth and fact. It is embarassing to live in a society where such bigotry and prejudice, as has been rearing its head in recent days in all of North America, is being generated and accepted. Also, Nijma, your feelings do count as much as those of any other human being on this earth and I find that you have been most tolerant of those who do not recognize that. - <herbal remedies > > Fri, 14 Sep 2001 11:50:55 EDT > Nathair9 > Re: Arab v.
