Dear Jean,

One SHOULD throw away the inside of the potatoes but I chop them up,

parboil them and then freeze them,.I use them for potato salad.

I grate up the carrots or make carot juice in my Juiceman.

Yes - it is 25% of beets.

Don't worry about the EXACT amounts - just make it

approximate...............Love Penny

Suzi, Hi

If you really don't like the beets then use more carrot peelings and less beets but I would still add some beets I don't really taste the beets when I make it. and yes it is just the skins or peelings and not the whole thing. I take the peeled potatoes, carrots, and some garlic and onions and boil them then add some cabbage and a meat (ham, beef, or hamburger and make a really tasty new England type boiled dinner. I only usually make the potassium broth in the summer when working outside and hauling and stacking hay. It works wonderfully and don't get as many sore muscles or any leg cramping.

Suzi, I have made the potassium broth and frozen it. Made sense to me because most of the ingredients are in the garden for a short time here. When I wanted it this winter, I thawed it out and used it. I don't think it hurt it at all. There is no heat involved so shouldn't have changed anything. Patty

as anyone ever froze the potassium broth recipe. (the strained broth) and/or can you? I can't imagine it would hurt... but then you learn something new every day...

I am thinking this would be a good way to space out the cost....

hi Kelly... just an idea, but last summer i decided i needed a regular blender (had given mine to a friend some time back) and my dau and i checked out garage sales and got a dandy one for $4.00! she needed one too as hers had give up the ghost and no more that day at sales, so went to sears and paid about 30$ for a nice new one! but mine does just as good a job after i cleaned it up. i used to be adicted to GS's but not many things i need any more so just go to have a nice day and visit with the friends i go with.

love.. granny lee
