Turmeric in Super Tonic

Dear Valerie,

finally got my computer sorted out (thanks to my hubby) and caught

your question re Super Tonic.

I added the Turmeric becasue it is so good for the cartilage and

bone ......and what I add is the same part as the others.

for instance if I use I cup of horeradish and 1 cup of the other

ingredients I add one cup of dried Turmeric. It DOES mean that there is

a lot of Turmeric.

That is because one needs a goodly amount to get the desired

effect.......nice bouncy cartilage..(grin).

I know one is mixing fresh (the onions, garlic, etc ) with dried ...

Also with the cayenne pepper - if you mix dried it will be hotter

than fresh simply because the red peppers are more potent when dried.

It is really a question of personal preference.

............................Love Penny

That is what I do... like I said it is foods anyway so you will not hurt

yourself! Just do equal parts each and you will be fine.

God Bless,

Jamie

To this you just add 1 cup powdered

teaspoon chopped onion, 1 teaspoon

Thanks for the clarification, Penny. I have to say

this one has thoroughly confused me because I have

always understood that powdered was way more

concentrated than fresh ingredients and so less would

always be used. Doesn't it end up kind of--cakey? One

more thing for clarification, did I understand that

you end up adding this after everything has settled in

if you are letting it sit for 2 weeks rather than

making it in a juicer as some people do?

I do appreciate Jamie and Jennie's responses, but

let's face it, there was no way I could ever be

satisfied since you are the turmeric guru and I bow to

you in all of this.

What about Jean's question if she could use only

powdered/dry since she has trouble finding the fresh

organic? I know the stuff cannot be irradiated, but

is it possible that the final result might be okay,

even though we all know not nearly as good????? I was

so happy when I found the horseradish because I was

having such a hard time finding that one, and that had

really been holding me up. Since the turmeric is

powdered and it is an equal part, could you use some

fresh and some powdered of the other ingredients as

well? I think THAT would REALLY be cakey though.

Just thinking.....

Thank you but also thank you to your wonderful husband

for getting your computer fixed!!!!! Nice to have you

back here again.

Love,

Valerie
