Guest guest
I used the hawthorn briefly, and the CoQ10 religiously, along with more recently a homocysteine formula for correcting a heart arrythmia thyat I USED to have! Steve ----------------------------- Dear Peggy, Just before we get off your hubby as a topic - may a I recommend a Hawthorne Tincture 3 times every day?. If you are in an area where Hawthorne trees grow - use the berris in pies and make jam with them. They are so great at building the heart up. There are also some great heart tinctures that you can make...............Love Penny(I have put tincturing information at the bottom of the information if you have never tinctured yourself.....it is great to learn how to do and is so simple) Here is Dr. Schultze's Heart Formula, > The Heart Formula is as follows: > > 8 Parts Hawthorne Berry > 1 Part Red Clover Blossom > 1 Part Cactus Grandiflorus Stem and Flower > 1 Part Motherwort Herb > 1 Part Garlic Bulb > 1 Part Jamaican Ginger Root > .5 Part Hottest Cayenne Pepper > Blended all in a base of 50% Alcohol and 50% distilled water. > .......Love Penny > This is the Heart Formula out of Dr. Schultze Book " Curing with Cayenne " For Heart Problems: 1 part Cayenne 1 part Hawthorn Berry For Thick, Fatty Blood and Cholesterol Problems: 1 part Cayenne 1 part Garlic Bulb 3 parts Red Clover Blossom (Blossoms should be red-violet not brown) In David Hoffman's book, one recipe for strenghtening the heart is, 2 parts hawthorn berries 2 parts motherwort 1 part lily of the valley Drink a cup three times a day For palpitations: 2 parts motherwort 1 part mistletoe 1 part valerian Drink a cup three times a day Arteriosclerosis: Herbs good are: garlic, hawthorn berries, lime blossom, mistletoe and yarrow. and other suggestions...................... Coenzyme Q (Co-Q-10): This substance, present in most foods and available as a supplement, can increase the efficiency of the heart's pumping action and boost tolerance for exercise. Get the gel cap formulation which appears to be better absorbed. L-carnitine: Taking 300-600 mg of this amino acid three times a day appears to increase the efficiency of the heart's pumping activity. Hawthorn (Crataegus oxycantha): An herbal preparation, hawthorn is a heart tonic that may enable you to lower the dosage of digoxin (a drug that helps your heart pump blood more efficiently). Breath work and relaxation therapies: This can help you deal with stress and can benefit the body's involuntary functions, including the action of the heart. Magnesium: Taking 500-1,000 mg per day can benefit your heart, provided you have no kidney trouble. Tincturing:- 1)Put Herb or herbs into a blender. On the new moon if you can 2)Add enough vodka to cover. 3) Switch blender on for a minute or so. 4) Make sure that you have about 1/5th more vodka than the herbs. 5)Put into a sealed glass jar (one that has been well washed and has no trace of chlorinated water - rinse it in distilled water) 6) Place in a cool dark place that you frequent two or three times a day. 7) shake it well eachtime you pass. 8) At the full moon or 14 days;- 9)Strain thru a clean organic cloth into a glass or ceramic bowl. 10) Pour into a dropper bottle (that can be bought at a chemist or a health food store or on line at jeans greens)
