Guest guest
Supposedly distilled is the way to go, then (actual) spring water with it's minerals, but natural spring water has trace elements that some may find questionable; then filtered water. All 3 are better than tap water, though! Steve ----------------------------- Just wondering why you replaced the tap water with bottled ? You know not all bottled water is good? Guest guest
That's why I drink spring, and then filtered, but some people (alternative and conventional) swear by distilled, as they emphasize supplementation (with capsules/tablets or ion charged trace minerals in the distilled water); pick or choose, but it's still better than tap! In Health, Steve ----------------------------- I'm not so sure about distilled water all the time. It's great when you're doing a cleanse or a weekend detox etc. because it helps latch on to some of the toxins and sweep them out of the system, but if you use it all the time it can deplete your necessary minerals and upset your electrolyte balance. Guest guest
I disagree about distilled water. You wont find it in nature. Because it is empty of minerals, it will draw the minerals out of your body over a period of time. So will reverse osmosis water.Fine if you are over mineralised, not otherwise. Distilled water is dead. At best, you can add minerals like good quality sea salt to it.I use filtered water, but the water here isnt too bad. My favourite is rain water from the country, or spring water, but I know these can carry toxins depending on where. love Peela --- Steve <bigbird3969 wrote: > Supposedly distilled is the way to go, then (actual) > spring water with it's minerals, but natural spring > water has trace elements that some may find > questionable; then filtered water. Guest guest
How about sulphured water? We have a really deep, never ending well but the water is sulphur. Now, when we had it tested for heavy metals bacteria, etc, the water came back with NO traces of anything, just the sulphur. I have seen what this sulphur does to pipes. What does it do to us? We don't drink it but I cook with it. The old folks around here tell us that we should be counting our blessings because in the old days people would get sulphur water to drink as a physic. Anybody know anything about it? Guest guest
Sulfur is a nutrient. It is used by the body as a component of many enzymes. Like anything else, too much sulfur can be toxic. There are also several sulfur compounds which are toxic, including the widely used preservative sulfur dioxide. Yes, in the old days sulfur was an important medicine. Up until about 15 years ago most pharmacies sold raw sulfur. That was sometimes used as a remedy for constipation. Many old-timers used to make sure they had lots of molasses every spring, as that was believed to help the body get rid of toxins that built up due to winter inactivity.
