Guest guest
Never having had a kid, I can only speak on hearsay, but during teething don't they always put things in their mouth to " cut " their teeth? Could it be that the teething led to pain (and perhaps little sleep, which brought down the immunity), which led to " cutting " , which led to foreign objects going into the mouth, which led to bacteria going into the throat/eustachian tube area towards the ears? Just a thought since you are having selective recall )! The herbs and dosages are 1/3 as follows: German Chamomile - (for digestive or teething) 1 level tsp. to 1 c. of water as an infusion up to 3x/day. Slippery Elm - make a paste with the chamomile infusion and apply to the gums. Chamomile or Linden for sleep - make 1/3 of the adult infusion and drink 1-2 cups before bedtime Earache: one drop garlic oil on a cotton ball and apply ( you may go w/o the cotton ball, but I don't know about the sensitivity at that age) In Health, Steve ----------------------------- Thanks for the ideas. On the one hand I think he is past the age for colic, since he is 9months. I have been using the Hyland's homeopathic tablets f or colic and for teething. They seem to help a tiny bit, but do not help hi s sleep... In what form and how much would I give him the various herbs you suggested? Sindea Have you checked for colic? Tried german chamomile for teething/sleep/col ic? With slippery elm for teething/colic? With ginger, anise, fennel for co lic? with linden flowers for sleep?
