Dear Mindy,

Stop eating. Drink only water and LOTS of it (pure water). Have hot

and cold showers every hour. Take either Echinacea Tinc or Rudbeckia

Tinc. hourly................Love Penny

Well I live in the mountains of Colorado and it is pretty dry here so there is not much mold or fungus. I also live on ranch land so there is no industrial stuff around me. I understand what you are saying but I really don't know what it could be.

I was thinking that allergies from all the stuff growing around here started it and because I have hep C and my liver is slightly damaged, it can't handle stuff too well?

Check your environment. A lot of these things have an environmental cause -- perhaps a nearby chemical plant changed its processes, or something broke at a factory and the smokestack is pouring stuff down instead of up -- there are all kinds of possibilities.

At home, many people have experienced a "breakover" when there was fungus present somewhere (usually the kitchen or bathroom) for a long time and there were no problems. Then suddenly either the fungus grows to a point where it really has an effect, or one's immune system finally gives out. That's when the problems begin -- often as a sore throat which then migrates to the sinuses. If it's not handled, eventually CFS could set in.

Yes, herbs can help, and may actually stop the infection or build up the immune system. But the environmental cause, whatever it is, will still be lurking in the background, and will take down another family member if it doesn't get the first one.

Hi All, Well my sore throat kinda went away and/or became a sinus infection. My sinuses are running and they are burning like crazy. I am sneezing and am miserable. To top it off I have a lump in my armpit that hurts and is red. HELP! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Mindy Kittay

Mullein is great for drying up the burning runny sinus thing and red clover

is good to cleanse the lymph system (lump in your armpit). Chamomile

is my saviour for a lot of respiratory ailments because it calms the nervous

system and allows rest.

You can make a tea from a combination of equal parts of all these herbs

and add a little honey to sweeten and as a carrier to help the herbs get

into your system.

And don't forget the hot and cold showers and lots of water like Penny

said.

Have you looked into chelation therapy for the hep c? A full body cleanse might help too. Anybody have any experience in these?

I have not done either of these and I don't know what chelation therapy is but I would like to learn. I am under the care of a ND (just started) and she took me off of everything (almost) that I was doing and is starting me over. I was taking lots of different herbs and supplements and drinking lots of different teas. Thanks for any info.

I've never used it fresh because it doesn't grow here, but most herbs can

be made into tea when they are fresh. Just remember that you need

to use twice as much of the fresh. :) If you have this problem quite

a bit, you can make a tincture to keep on hand and just put about 1/2 teaspoon

of tincture in 1/2 cup of water when you need it. Tinctures keep

for a long time if you keep them out of the light and extreme heat.

Have you looked into chelation therapy for the hep c? A full

body cleanse might help too. Anybody have any experience in these?

Chelation therapy can either be done intraveniously(sp) or orally.

Basically what it is doing is latching on to all the toxins and heavy metals

in your system and flushing them out. You have to be on a pretty

heavy regimen of vitamins and minerals throughout this process because

the existing good minerals get washed out with the toxins.

If you are under the care of an ND ask about this and the full body

cleanse as its better to do either one of them under the supervision of

a professional.
