OOPS from the doula

Hello everyone! I just returned home from a 9 day trip to find out that I already embarrassed my papa Doc Ian by opening my mouth before reading the policies about not mentioning URL stuff. I will sit in the corner for awhile until I am allowed out. Sorry. A small defense is I had been to 3 births that week and was coming down with a nasty bronchitis and was a little out of my head. I was going to read the policies Honest!! Oh well. If any one needs any help or advice on childbirth or pregnancy I would be happy to stand by (in my corner) until allowed out.

(Doula is an old Greek word that simply describes an experienced woman in childbirth who helps others in childbirth. I am also a home birth midwife in somewhat retirement)

Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrhg! You may be my adopted daughter (even at a year or two older ;o), but you need to read the list policies = no advertising or URLs. Ya beat 'em and beat 'em (joke) and they still act like kids (LOL ). I never said a word about behaving yourself (lost cause) and 'fun' is one of our major goals.

Heather the "doula" is here. I have been so busy "doula-arizing" that I have had no time to introduct myself. I have been going to births since 1973 I am a retired direct-entry midwife here in California. Assisted in over 650 home births. Currently I teach childbirth classes, and assist in hospitals as a consultant to the couple to give them someone to discuss their choices and to help them achieve the sort of birth experience they want.So by now Ihave been to around 850-900 births. Doc Ian is my adopted papa and even though I might be a year or two older than he is...what the difference. He also said I had to behave myself on this chat group. No fun.

So my main specialty is childbirth education and labor management in variety of settings.
